Your new physiological silicone feeding bottle is full of resources! And so are the 10 tips in this article...
Let us help you wean off breastfeeding to make it easier for you to make the most of your favorite physiological bottleevery day .
Tip 1: Dilute the contents of physiological bottles
If you're in a transition period and planning to wean your baby, you can dilute the first bottles of formula with breast milk. In this way, your baby's formula will remind him of the taste of breastfeeding, and make him more eager to take his bottle.
Tip 2: Pass the baton

Your baby may be taken aback the first few times you give him a bottle of infant milk. In this case, it's a good idea to hand over to another member of the family, such as your partner or dad, to break the routine. A change of routine can make baby behave differently!
Tip 3: Warm the physiological bottle
Using a thermometer can be a very effective way of measuring the temperature of warmed milk. The idea is to heat the milk in the physiological bottle to between 35 and 37°Cto give your baby the same lukewarm milk he's used to at the breast.
Cold milk is more likely to put your little one off the first few times he or she has to deal with a bottle.

Tip 4: Don't force baby to drink
If baby refuses to take the teat from your psychological bottle, don't force him to drink and gently place the tip of the teat under his nose for a few seconds, without blocking his nostrils, to invite him to taste. You can use small circles or movements from left to right to make the start of his meal more playful and encourage him to catch the pacifier with his mouth.
Tip 5: Warm up the physiological teat

If, despite your patience, your baby is still pouting at the bottle you're handing him, warm up the teat for ten seconds under hot water, after placing baby in a place away from the handling area to avoid any risk of burns.
This will warm the nipple and soften it, making it more inviting, just like Mum's nipple!
Tip 6: Change the flow rate of your physiological bottle
Is your baby now taking the pacifier, but seems to be getting annoyed? Perhaps the milk supply is too slow! If, when you're breastfeeding, the milk supply is rapid, particularly when there's a strong ejection reflex (FER), it's perfectly normal for your baby to become impatient. Test a physiological teat with a different flow rateTry a physiological teat with a different flow rate, such as a medium flow rate, and observe your child's behavior. On the other hand, a rapid flow from a bottle may surprise and frighten him. Logically, choose a slow-flow teat.
Tip 7: Treat yourself to several physiological feeding bottles

If you choose to bottle-feed your newborn as soon as you return from the maternity ward, consider investing in several bottles. Your nights could well be chopped up by numerous awakenings over several weeks, or even months...
Having to wash the same bottle over and over again at all hours of the night won't help your physical recovery by keeping you awake for longer.
At Elhée, our range offers you up to 10 different bottle colors to brighten up your endless evenings!
Tip 8: Use a physiological bottle rather than a traditional bottle from birth
Use a physiological bottle shaped like a breastfeeding bottle to comfort your child as soon as you leave the maternity ward. Contact with this type of bottle will be different and more natural.

Tip 9: Cut the cord gradually
If you're delegating to your other half, take the opportunity to take a breather. And don't make the mistake of keeping an eye on everything in the next room, or spying on the sly!
You'd be sending the wrong message to your baby, who might see you and reject the bottle held by your other half or the person in charge of the meal.
Tip 10: Offer dairy products or cook them!
If, despite numerous unsuccessful attempts, baby is still not convinced by his bottle, you can offer fromage blanc or petits-suisses to maintain a regular calcium intake.
And why not sell off your stock by cooking up breast-milk-based snacks, such as yoghurts or cupcakes, that are easy for babies to eat?
Remember to throw away any preparation that has been defrosted and not eaten by your child, after each meal.
