HOW TO USE
Apply generously to face and exposed areas for 30 minutes each outing, as soon as the first rays appear. Reapply every 2 hours and after swimming.
Precautions: Do not expose babies and young children directly to the sun, even with sun protection. Their skin is still immature and particularly vulnerable to UV rays.
Sunscreen is not a substitute for clothing protection: hats, sunglasses, covering clothes, etc.
Frequently asked questions
At what age can you start using Élhée sun cream on a baby?
From birth.
Unlike most sun creams, which are only recommended from the age of 6 months, the Élhée formula has been specifically developed for newborns and tested under pediatric and dermatological supervision.
This means you can use it from the very first days of life, if exposure to the sun is unavoidable (stroller ride, terrace, seaside outing...). Of course, we always recommend shade and covering clothing, but our cream is there for those times when that's not enough.
Can I use Élhée sun cream if I'm pregnant?
Yes, and it's even ideal during pregnancy.
Élhée sun lotion contains new-generation UVA filters that are particularly effective in preventing the appearance of pregnancy mask (melasma), which affects many pregnant women.
Its ultra-gentle, fragrance-free organic formula reduces the risk of skin reactions, even on reactive skin or skin sensitized by hormonal upheaval.
What sunscreens does it contain?
Here are the filters used in Élhée sun cream, all validated by European health authorities and recognized for their safety:
- Tinosorb S (Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine): protects against UVA and UVB rays, highly photostable, does not penetrate the skin.
- Uvinul A+ (Diethylhexyl Butamido Triazone): excellent long UVA filter, with no known toxicity.
- Diethylamino Hydroxybenzoyl Hexyl Benzoate: photostable UVA filter, very well tolerated.
- Ethylhexyl Triazone: UVB filter, highly effective even at low concentrations.
None of these filters is considered an endocrine disruptor or carcinogen.
Does Élhée sun cream leave a white film on the skin?
Not at all.
Our sun cream has a fluid, light, silky texture. It doesn 't stick, doesn't leave a white film, and penetrates quickly while remaining on the surface for effective protection.
This is one of the major advantages of our choice of organic filters: they offer greater application comfort than mineral filters, while being just as safe.
Why doesn't it contain a mineral filter like titanium dioxide or zinc oxide?
Even though these mineral filters are effective, they have certain drawbacks:
- They can leave a white film on the skin (not ideal for babies).
- They are sometimes less well tolerated by toddlers with atopic or sensitized skin.
- The nano version raises questions about skin penetration (especially in spray or powder form).
We have therefore opted for new-generation organic filters that have no undesirable effects and are perfectly suited to even the most sensitive skin.
Does it respect the marine environment and the oceans?
Yes, our formula is reef-safe, i.e. free of oxybenzone, octinoxate and nanoparticles, to protect corals and marine ecosystems. It's an additional commitment we're making, in line with the values of the Élhée brand.
Is Élhée sun cream water-resistant?
Yes, it's water-resistant for up to 80 minutes, making it ideal for water play or summer swimming.
Is Élhée sun cream well rated on Yuka?
Yes, it's rated 100/100 on Yuka, the reference app used by millions of parents to decipher cosmetic compositions.
This perfect score reflects the impeccable quality of the formula: free from suspected endocrine disruptors, allergens, fragrances, nanoparticles and controversial filters.
