Yes, we recommend sterilizing Elhée baby bottles before their first use to ensure perfect hygiene. Although medical silicone feeding bottles are naturally resistant to bacteria, initial sterilization or sterilization after prolonged storage ensures extra safety for your baby. Thereafter, careful daily washing in hot soapy water or in the dishwasher is generally sufficient for everyday use.

Élhée baby bottles are compatible with the majority of sterilizers on the market, allowing several sterilization options:

Boiling water sterilization: Plunge bottle, nipple and accessories into a pan of boiling water for 5 minutes.

Steam or microwave sterilizers: Suitable for medical silicone, they offer a fast, efficient method.

Cold sterilization solution: Gentle on silicone, it's also suitable.

Long advocated, today the WHO no longer recommends systematically sterilizing baby bottles.
